Slaley Cellar: Know your Wine.

Slaley Cellar is one of the wine estates in the Boland that take part in Die Burger & Morgan’s Wines’ Know your Wine – Ken jou Wyn – wine course.

Slaley Cellar, built in 1995, is situated on the western slopes of Simonsberg mountain near the town of Stellenbosch in the Boland region of South Africa.  They tend to make their wine with little New World influence, using long fermentation periods at high temperatures and ageing the wines in classic French barrels with exception of the Shiraz. 


Their main focus is on the production of quality red wines with a limited amount of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and olive oil.
